Angie Coiro’s been having a blast in
radio from years – from her college days in Indiana doing “woman on the
street” interviews; through her long tenures as a San Francisco traffic
reporter, and as show host and news anchor at KQED-FM; to her stint on Air
America, hosting Mother Jones Radio. She’s developed a warm, funny, smart
style that guests respect and audiences applaud.
And sometimes they’re applauding live. Angie’s appeared on numerous stages
around the Bay and in Seattle, interviewing headliners including Mike
Wallace, Randi Rhodes, Dr. Andrew Weil, Martin Short, and Janeane Garafalo,
to name a few.
Her work has netted awards from the Peninsula Press Club, the American
Women in Radio and Television, and Public Radio Director's, Inc. - the
treasured national award for Best Interview.
Angie’s also an experienced voiceover talent, narrating commercials and
industrial projects. A proud member of AFTRA and SAG, she’s represented by
JE Talent in San Francisco.
This summer she’ll host “Spotlight!” on KCSM-TV, profiling young
filmmakers. She’s also the host and assistant curator of an ongoing series
of pre-code films at Montalvo Arts.
Angie’s thrilled to hook up with Green 960, which share her dual
priorities of respecting the Earth, and demanding the best from our
elected officials.
